Specialized nursing terminology for chronic kidney patients on hemodialysis

Abstract Objectives to identify the terms that represent human needs affected in chronic renal failure patients on hemodialysis; and cross-map these with those already existing International Classification for Nursing Practice. Method a descriptive study quantitative approach, conducted between February December 2021, period which an integrative literature review was prepared survey then, we proceeded cross-mapping of identified ICNP® 2019/2020 version. Results 1,946 were extracted from articles part review. After normalization standardization process, 689 excluded, resulting subsequent composition 1,257 terms, mapped Practice In end, term bank consisted 626 constant 631 non-constant terms. Conclusion implications practice relevant nursing care kidney disease hemodialysis. The will help nurses promote systematized care, using evidence-based practice.
